Chinelo Anohu

CEO Africa Investment Forum, AFDB (Nigerian ICON)
Chinelo Anohu is a Nigerian lawyer, public servant and administrator. She is the immediate past Director General and CEO of National Pension Commission, (PenCom). She was a member of Pension Reform Committee of 2004 that introduces contributory pension scheme in Nigeria. In May 2019, she was appointed as the Head and Senior Director of the AfDB's Africa Investment Forum. She is the pioneer member of the London stock exchange Africa Advisory group. In 2004, she became the pioneer Legal Adviser to PenCom in Nigeria. On the 14 December 2014, she was appointed the substantive Director General of the commission. She graduated with Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Nigeria at Enugu. She also has master's degree in Telecommunication and Information Technology from London School of Economics. She attended Harvard University Kennedy School of Government, the London Business School, the Columbia University Graduate School of Business, and the Wharton University Business School for various Executive Education Programs.

Dr Chi Chi Aniagolu-Okoye

Regional Director, West Africa, The Ford Foundation (Nigerian ICON)
With over 20 years in the social change sector, Aniagolu-Okoye is a respected leader on the African continent who brings many years of extensive experience leading diverse international development organizations, and managing country programmes, donor projects and country strategies in West Africa and across Africa. As the Ford Foundation Regional Director, she oversees the foundation’s local team, external relations and administrative operations in West Africa. She also leads on program strategy development and implementation in the region, with a focus on advancing democracy, human rights, and social inclusion for all, especially youth, women and people with disabilities. Throughout her career, Aniagolu-Okoye has designed and implemented strategies at regional and global organizations on key social issues such as improving governance, reducing poverty, advancing transparency in the extractives sector, and furthering women and girl’s empowerment – all through engaging civil society as well as the public and private sectors. Before Ford, Aniagolu-Okoye was most recently the Country Director of Technoserve, an international NGO that provides business solutions to poverty with women at the heart of the work. Prior, she was the Country Director for WaterAid in Nigeria where she provided grants to civil society organizations advocating for improved access to water, sanitation, and hygiene services and strengthening civil society networks, including one focused on journalists dedicated to telling more accurate water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) stories.

Omoyemi Akerele

Founder, Lagos Fashion Week (Nigerian ICON)
The founder and artistic director of Style House Files, a creative development agency for Nigerian and African designers, Omoyemi Akerele is widely regarded as a driving force behind Nigeria's burgeoning fashion industry. Style House Files works with Nigerian brands on image, creative direction, brand positioning and retail strategies. Akerele also helps brands gain essential international exposure through showcases at Pitti Immagine in Italy, and through Lagos Fashion and Design Week. Founded by Akerele in 2011, LFDW runs a four-day schedule featuring a select list of up-and-coming designers and fashion entrepreneurs. Partnered with the British Fashion Council, the show has been instrumental in raising the profile of the Nigerian fashion industry and has drawn international attention and acclaim from journalists such as Suzy Menkes and Cristina Manfredi, as well as attracting a host of international buyers. Prior to Style House Files, Akerele worked as senior style editor at popular fashion magazine True Love and set up an image consulting agency with Bola Balogun, a local Nigerian celebrity stylist. Trained as a lawyer from the University of Lagos, Akerele has also completed a master’s in international economic law from the University of Warwick and worked at prestigious Nigerian law firm Olaniwun Ajayi & Co from 2000 to 2003.

Dupe Olusola

Dupe Olusola is a dynamic, results-oriented leader with a successful track record of building profitable businesses and delivering superior performance. Dupe has over 22 years corporate experience spanning various sectors locally and internationally. She has deep knowledge of several corporate and retail market economics with expertise in creating vision, identifying opportunities, creating high quality products and services, delivering strong revenues and profits, and positioning start-ups and existing businesses for sustainable global growth in competitive markets. She has excellent business and political acumen developed through active networking over the years and involvement in several development and empowerment associations. Dupe is the Managing Director/CEO of Transcorp Hotels Plc, owners of the award winning Transcorp Hilton Abuja, Transcorp Hotels Calabar and Aura by Transcorp Hotels. Dupe assumed this role in March 2020, at a time when the world was beginning to comprehend the unprecedented global reach and impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and its evolving level of disruption to the world's economies. Being saddled with the huge responsibility of navigating the hotel business through the tying times, Dupe led her team to create and adopt diverse innovative strategies, including food delivery services, drive-in events, and the Clean Stay programme, among other strategies that were highly successful. With recovery from the impact of the pandemic happening fast and an 84% growth in revenue in the first half of 2021, Transcorp Hotels plc, in July 2021, launched its innovative digital hospitality booking platform, Aura, which was launched at Transcorp Hilton Abuja by the Vice President and other dignitaries in both the public and the private sector. Dupe was Named amongst Nigeria’s 10 Most Influential CEOS of 2015 by Ventures Africa and Nigeria’s 100 Most Inspiring Women by Leading Ladies Africa and YNaija multiple times. On the International Women’s Day, 2021, she was celebrated by The Will Downtown magazine as one of the top 100 women changing the narrative.

Chizor Malize

Chizor is the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Financial Institutions Training Centre (FITC). She has over two decades of professional experience that cuts across marketing, business process reengineering, market growth strategy, reputation management and business consulting. She has led various strategic and transformational projects in the financial services sector, local and international, in strategy, product marketing, electronic banking, retail, wholesale, private banking and brand repositioning. She was a Founding Partner and CEO at Brandzone Consulting LLC. She led the firm’s Consulting practice serving major international and indigenous organizations of repute while creating thought leadership to advance businesses. She holds a bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) with specialization in Marketing. She is an Executive Education Alumna of the London Business School, UK and the Columbia University, New York, United States. She is a member of several professional associations including Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), London, Chartered Institute of Marketing, Nigeria, Chartered Institute of Bankers (CIBN), Institute of Directors (IoD). She won the award for Marketing Personality of the year 2016 and the African Leadership Excellence Award 2017. She was nominated in 2019 by REBRAND™ USA, as a Jury Board member on the REBRAND 100® Global Awards Board, the only member from Africa. She was awarded the 2020 “Inspirational Leader Award” in recognition of the innovative, and game changing work at FITC in 2020 at the height of the global Pandemic resulting in the organization-wide transformation at FITC and positive impact on the Nigerian financial sector by International Business Excellence (IBX). She was recently nominated by CNBC Media for the ‘’African Rising Woman’’ 2020 Edition. She is a prolific and respected international speaker. She has developed and facilitated several training courses in reputable institutions such as Lagos Business School, Financial Institutions Training Centre (FITC), and Brand Platform Academy. She is passionate about impact, enterprise, and family.

Bolanle Austen-Peters

CEO Terrakulture (Nigerian ICON)
Bolanle Austen-Peters has a master’s degree in International Law from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a Law degree from the University of Lagos. She worked as a Lawyer with the United Nations before starting the renowned cultural hub; Terrakulture in 2003. She has featured three consecutive times in Forbes Afrique as one of the most influential women in Africa. Also described by CNN as the "woman pioneering theatre in Nigeria" she has received wide global media attention and awards for her contribution to the arts. She has curated and supported over 250 art exhibitions and ran an Art auction house for over a decade. Also produced and directed over 200 stage plays. She is an award-winning movie and theatre Producer/Director whose plays have traveled to London's West-end, South Africa, and Egypt. Some of her award-winning plays include Saro the Musical, Wakaa the musical, Fela and the Kalakuta Queens, Moremi the Musical, Olurombi, Death and the King's Horseman, and numerous others. Fela and the Kalakuta Queens is the most successful and longest-running stage play in Nigeria with over 100 runs so far. Her movies 93 Days and Bling Lagosians were selected in some of the world's most prestigious film festival's including Toronto and Chicago Film Festivals and five other festivals with over fifteen nominations. Also recently directed two films; Collision and The Man of God to be released on Netflix. She has won over 35 awards in recognition of her work.

Carol Abade

CEO, Exp Agency (Kenyan ICON)
Kenyan-born Carol Abade is the Group CEO of EXP. A Pan African Experiential marketing and sponsorship agency. After co-founding a company called Direct Marketing Communications, Abade joined forces with Group Africa Marketing to form EXP, which now has operations in more than 19 African countries. Since first becoming interested in experiential marketing, Abade has been actively involved in the launch of Exp in 15 countries over the last 20 years and considers this one of her greatest personal achievements to date. Her focus is on driving the multidimensional aspects of experiential marketing and effectively applying these techniques both from a commercial and social perspective in order to improve the living conditions of the poor in Africa, through Behaviour Change Communication modeling. Her current passion is in developing Social and Cause Marketing techniques to drive measurable change in behavior for the greater good of the communities in which we work. She believes that communication is key to delivering real change and improving living conditions by empowering communities.

Uche Pedro

Founder BellaNaija (Nigerian ICON)
Uche Pedro has spent the last decade in digital entrepreneurship as the Founder of BellaNaija, Africa’s leading lifestyle and advocacy digital media company with a community of over 5 million Africans on the continent and in the diaspora. She co-founded PVCitizen to encourage millennials and Generation Z Nigerians to register, vote, and become active citizens. PVCitizen’s first impact campaign leading up to the 2019 elections in Nigeria achieved a reach of 200 million impressions across social media.In March 2020, Uche was honoured with Forbes Africa as one of the 50 most powerful women in Africa. Uche holds a Bachelor’s degree – Honours Business Administration (HBA) from the Ivey Business School at Western University in Canada where she graduated with distinction. She recently completed the MC/MPA Mason program at the Harvard Kennedy School where she was a student fellow at the Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation and the recipient of the Josephine S Vernon award. Uche is passionate about the progress of Africa’s emerging generations and works to foster positive change through BellaNaija DoGood initiatives and partnerships with grassroots, local and global impact organizations.

Ruth Osime

As Fashion Director / Executive Editor of Nigeria’s leading fashion and lifestyle magazine pullout, THISDAY Style, Ruth Osime is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in the Nigerian fashion industry. Her impact has led to the discovery of new fashion talents and created a platform for the established ones to be recognized globally. With her footprint across sub-Saharan Africa, it is no wonder she is constantly referred to as Nigeria’s own Anna Wintour. Over the years, her style of reporting, glossy style covers, and exclusives has given rise to the birth of several other fashion and lifestyle magazine platforms who were influenced by her work.
